Something that’s been weighing heavily on our minds lately is the fact that we are faced with having to buy yet another car (the Intrepid we just bought–yeah, just 9 months ago–is already dying). We’re looking into some foreign cars (Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota) but haven’t totally ruled out American-made cars. We need something that’s reliable and gets good gas mileage but won’t break our bank. Any of you experts have some suggestions??

hey, you guys should look into a semi-new toyota yaris or chevy aveo (the only domestic cars i could really recommend are those that are pretty much made in the orient). Our geo prizm was rad… the same as (another GREAT car) the toyota corrolla. anything oriental, i would have to say, is a great deal. you can get the geo/toyota/chevy prizm/corrolla for about 3500. for a new-ish one with 100,000 mi on it, that is a steele.
